With 15 years marketing experience, most recently Michelle Ferguson was the founder and owner of  MFPR, a music, technology and lifestyle marketing firm. The company was based in New York for seven years. She began her career in corporate communications in the hi-tech and entertainment industry representing EMI and BMG and continued to represent corporate and hi-tech clients with MFPR including the Macintosh New York Music Festival, Mammoth Records, Korg USA, JENSENERGYTour 2000 and Wipeout3 Video Game.  Ms. Ferguson went on to represent a number of artists throughout her career including Brian Eno, Richie Hawtin, Boy George, The Pet Shop Boys, Luke Slater, McAlmont & Butler, The Charlatans, The Sourcelab Compilations and Laurent Garnier.

She has developed pioneering online campaigns and strategy for artists including Jane Siberry-for her online only releases and web-based label, Gene-for their webcast and live album project "Rising for Sunset" and the KORG Electribe launch- for its webcast and cable broadcast event. And has represented international artists for MCA UK, Parlophone, Rubber Records (AU), Primal Music (SE) and Jive/Silvertone.

MFPR has always had a hand in projects with a charity element creating the all-girl DJ and fashion even Girl Groove to benefit the Olivieri Center for Homeless Women, promoting the VANISH Benefit -Voters Against NC Incumbent Sen.Helms, creating and sponsoring the online auction of Brian Eno's "Antennae" limited-edition box sets to benefit War Child, working on the chart-topping HELP album for the same charity which featured original tracks from artists including Oasis, Blur, Massive Attack and Radiohead ; and the launch of the KCRW-Rare on Air CD series to support the noted NPR station.

MFPR also became known for its launch parties and special events including its annual Rock 'n Roll High School Prom held for music industry at SXSW and the CMJ launch parties.

Ms. Ferguson has been a panel moderator and speaker on independent artist promotion and the web at conventions including DDMI- Europe, CMJ, IMF Digital Club Festival and the New York Music and Technology Conference. She has also been recognized as a tech pioneer in the music industry by being appointed an Academy Member of the Yahoo! Internet Life Music Awards.
