Michelle Ferguson-Cohen
founded MFPR,LLC, an entertainment consulting, management,
production, marketing & publicity company based in New York and London in 1994.
As well-known for artist development, as her own artistry, Ferguson-Cohen brings a tremendous creative vision to marketing and
production. Ferguson-Cohen is known for knowing what's next. A tastemaker as much as a marketing whiz, she's been on the forefront of major music and cultural trends including online community development, internet grassroots promotion and branding, marketing to the gay community and
the advent of DJ culture and electronic music. In the service of her clients, she tapped into these trends, producing tours and events internationally, developing marketing strategies
for groundbreaking artists, and facilitating A&R deals.
In 1995, she moved to London, where she represented iconic legend Brian Eno and worked with a variety of artists from the burgeoning new British Invasion.
Inspired and involved, she brought the music back to US shores and stayed to cultivate the new talent springing from the downtown NYC scene. MFPR maintained a presence overseas,
where they worked with a variety of artists from Belgium to Norway to Basque, creating an electic aesthetic for her roster of clients that enthused both literati and A&R executives.
An astute business person as well, her singular perspective has been an asset to CEOs of major conglomerates as well as entrepreneurs, promoting their
corporate brand, positioning companies for sale and investors and providing invaluable insight into the consumer behavior and the future of the market.
An entrepreneur herself, upon discovering a coterie of Swedish producers and artists on a trip to Stockholm, she clinched a deal for Primal Music US.
She marked the closing of MFPR and the launch of Otonomi Media, by presenting a revolutionary new music industry business model at DDMI Europe 2001. In 2003, she launched children's publishing company, Little Redhaired Girl Publishing.
Ferguson-Cohen is also an author and humorist.
